Finally we have bought some more chooks (6-off), this way we will not only have fresh organic eggs every day, we will also have organic chicken manure. These chooks are 18 weeks old and should only be a couple of weeks of laying. We picked out different colours so our grandson would be able to recognised them by their names. First egg was on the 29th of August, so our investment is working allready. We have chookie poo now eggs good A?.
see more information on chickens and how to look after them.

Our first egg (pullet size, they will get bigger)
a suggestion from a friend on the net, Warren Wilcox:- After you have wiped the collected egg, write the date you have collected the egg in pencil or texta on the shell, this helps you to use the oldest first.
And this is the proud egg producer.
29/9/99 we are up to five eggs a day our investment is now paying off. We now have a supply of real eggs. Organic Eggs
It's the 24/10/99 and the chooks are laying 6 eggs a day.
