With the compost heap turned over, the lizard moves in, he has the sun on his back, the heat from the compost keeping his belly warm, while he waits for a feed to fly by, What a life.

This is what good compost looks like after 4 weeks

Turned over after 4 weeks and now tucked away for another 2 weeks.

Compost after 6 weeks (still too warm for the garden) come back in two weeks time and see what real organic fertilizer looks like. Leave the heap uncovered to let the weather in and so it will cool down. If you have the energy give it a last turn over in a week or two.
